Job Summary: 

Wide variety of work including the building of new custom belly dumps to refurbishing used trailers. Responsible for repairing, rebuilding, modification, and building new and used semi-trailers according to work orders and blueprints.

Shift: One shift- 7:30am-4:00pm

Essential Competency Requirements:

• Wire feed welding experience, 1 year strongly preferred
• Perform efficient MIG welding on carbon and aluminum parts
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools and other equipment such as: grinders, impact wrenches, plasma cutter, cutting torch, etc.
• Must be able to work independently and with others
• Must follow all safety and PPE procedures and requirements

Essential Physical Demands:

• Ability to work in a variety of positions such as: standing, bending, climbing, reaching and kneeling on a regular basis
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis

- must complete quality standards according to mil thickness testing

Job Summary:

Responsible for trailer repair of used trailers. This will include using the straightening rack, welders, hydraulics, mechanical work, hand tools, etc. to repair the trailer for resale, lease or rental.

Essential Competency Requirements:

• Use chains and hydraulics to straighten trailers that need repair
• Wire feed welding (MIG) experience welding on carbon and aluminum parts
• Using a variety of hand tools and machines equipment such as grinders, impact wrenches, hand tools, plasma cutter, cutting torch, etc.
• Mechanical background preferred
• Must be able to work independently or with others in all departments
• Must follow all safety and PPE procedures and requirements as directed, including safety glasses, welding helmet, closed toe shoes, etc.
• Other related duties as assigned

Essential Physical Demands:

• Regular attendance is required
• Ability to work in a variety of positions, including standing, bending, climbing, reaching and kneeling on a regular basis on cement floor or ladder for hours at a time
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Occasional heavier lifting may be required, use cranes and other assistance as needed.
• Ability to use hands and arms to complete welding and work using overhead crane, frame rack, hand tools, etc.
• Ability to see and hear to perform the tasks of the job

These components include hydraulics, refrigeration, wiring, ABS (brakes), suspensions, axles, mounting tires, etc. Work with parts and other departments as needed.

Successful Candidates will have:

• Ability to read work orders, numbers, safety documents, manuals, etc.
• Experience with mechanical systems and components including hydraulics, refrigeration, wiring, ABS (brakes), suspensions, axles, mounting tires, etc.
• Regular attendance and physical ability to successfully complete the work (kneeling, bending, climbing, working overhead, lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs., visual acuity, etc.)
• Appropriate tools and locking box to store them
• Ability and knowledge to safely use power and hand tools
• US work authorization
• Ability to communicate, mentor and work with others in a team setting
• Willingness to follow company, local, state and federal safety and DOT standards
